Lesson Thanks
When I do these (almost) daily #ThanksgivingJournal entries, I typically stop for a moment to think what I'm thankful for, actually, in this moment, in my heart.
Today the first thing that came to mind was 'lessons,' and the second thing was that I had a student quit yesterday, and a new student start today!
PAST: I am thankful that God has given me a systematic brain that likes to teach. I like to break ideas down into their most essential components, and I love giving people access to this 'language,' so they can have fulfillment in making music. I am thankful for the circumstances God created so that I would begin to teach others.
PRESENT: I am thankful for the twenty-seven students God has provided. I am thankful for each of their lives and their desire to learn.
FUTURE: I am thankful that God knows my financial needs, and will continue to bring students to me whom I can teach. I am thankful for the chance I have to get to know them, to build into their lives, to love them, and to pray for them.
