Thanksgiving on Halloween
I missed a couple of days again. I thought about journaling yesterday, but just procrastinated until it was after midnight, and then didn't because it was already the next day.
Ugh, that's me.
PAST: I'm thankful for being raised in a Christian home, in the seventies and eighties, and getting to experience all the styles, norms and stereotypes that go with that.
PRESENT: I'm thankful for Halloween, a chance to meet so many people in the community and looking kids in the eye and genuinely wishing the best for them as I give them a candy and wish them a "happy Halloween." Some of the kids are students and former students, and it's a blessing to be in their lives.
FUTURE: I'm thankful for the ways God is working through me in the lives of the people I interact with. I hope that their experiences with me will draw them closer to God in the future.
