Thanks for Family and Parenthood
For my #ThanksgivingJournal today, I thank God for:
PAST: I thank Him for my father, who did the best He could with the tools he had at hand. He taught me many useful skills, tried to set an example for me as a Christ-follower, and also modelled humility and repentance. My childhood wasn't easy, and I thank God that my father has owned the part he played which caused me such pain.
PRESENT: I thank God for my own children. I thank Him for the opportunity to raise both boys and girls, and to continue to weep for their salvation and try to model humility and patience with them.
FUTURE: I thank God that He will work out His purposes in my children, and if he wills, their children. He is the Great Father, and I owe Him everything.
