Thankful for Music
Maybe I should have come up with this one earlier, since music is such a part of my life, but I'm listening to worship songs right now, and am moved to talk about it.
PAST: I am thankful for a musical heritage; my mom was always singing when I was a kid. Her mom and dad--Bob and Nanna Abrams sang, and even had a quartet for a while before I was born. Many of the Abrams uncles or older cousins were involved in music! I grew up in the church, was part of the church choir. These influences surely contributed to it.
PRESENT: I am thankful that God allows me to make a living with music. I teach, I write worship songs, I lead worship at my church and oversee the worship team (we've got over 30 musicians on our team!). I am so thankful for these opportunities!
FUTURE: I have no idea what will come, but I'm certain that music will be in my life in the future. I look forward with anticipation to see what God will do through me, for me, and in me!
