Thankful for Self Employment
As I asked myself what I was thankful today to enter in my #ThanksgivingJournal, the first thing that came to mind was the freedom of being self-employed.
PAST: I am thankful that my father took the plunge to be self-employed as a plumber, and that he came from a family of father (farmer) and brothers who also chose self-employment. This heritage gave me the confidence and example to understand the commitment required and to be prepared for the challenges of financial insecurity.
PRESENT: I am thankful for a large number of students who come to me to learn to play music. I am thankful for those of you who support my work to put scripture to music. I am thankful for the opportunities I have to code websites and applications for people.
FUTURE: I am thankful that whatever happens in the future, God will continue to provide for me. I think I've used this one before, but to be more specific, God will continue to give me people to help, missions to do, tasks to take on, and students to teach as long as I am able.
