Sick Week
My kids used to say this or that is "sick," meaning it was cool, neat, or awesome... but that's not the kind of sick week I had. Rather, it was spent sleeping and complaining about achy muscles.
This post today is just an update of my week, highs and lows, nothing especially interesting.
Despite being under the weather, and taking too many naps, I was able to get most of my work done. I cancelled a few lessons, but forced myself to get as much off my check list as possible.
While I stayed home to sleep, Joanne drove to Toronto to meet her parents and to aid them while her father was having a hip replacement. Unfortunately the muffler came off of our vehicle while she was there, and it cost $2000 to have it towed and fixed. This total combined with the $1000 dollar new brakes, rotors and calipers from the week before. Quite an expensive week for us! God provides, so I refuse to let worry take a seat.
Her parents drove home with her after the surgery, and we've been enjoying having them around. Her dad is doing so much better now that he can walk around without pain! It's amazing to be that an hour after a hip replacement he's walking without a limp!
I think I mentioned in a previous post that my webserver was under attack a couple of weeks ago. It was taken over by some WordPress plug-in virus that self-replicated in every home directory account. I've managed to get it all under control, and part of that involved upgrading old code in old accounts.
I've just about completed upgrading all that code so that it's compatible with PHP 8.2. There are likely a few outstanding bugs, so I'm checking the error logs regularly in the hope of squishing most. Giant sites like ServiceBuilder.net have a lot of coding I did back in 2010, and a lot has changed in security and procedures since then! It's given me the motivation to improve some functionality there as well, which is a plus!
In music news, I've completed my music video for the next scripture song release coming out Friday. It's from Romans 13:11-14. I hope it does a good job of communicating the message of the scripture.
