Graduation and Grand Parents
The last two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind! The baby girl in our family, Rose Mary Caroline, has just graduated high school!
Joanne's parents flew out for the celebration, as they have done with the other three kids' grade 12 grad. We've spent a lot of time watching the Canadian Football League and the Blue Jays, which is not something I typically gravitate toward. It's father-in-law's favourite pastime, and he doesn't seem very much drawn to my preference for archaeological or history documentaries, unless they're somehow concerning sports or farming.
But that's okay! It's been surprisingly fun to immerse myself in the world of baseball!
It's also been wonderful seeing my lovely Rose Mary blossom! She graduated with honours, which is a wonderful transformation after some of her past struggles. Thanks for your prayer for my children. Please continue to pray that they will throw themselves at the feet of God and truly live by faith.
On a personal note, now that I'm done teaching music for the summer, I've spent some time playing with my new "Raspberry Pi 4" from Lucas and Grace. They bought it for this past Father's Day, and I've been setting it up as a photo server in the house. I use "SyncThing" to grab all the photos and videos from my phone and Joanne's phone at night while they are charging. The photos get synced to the "Pi," and then added to a slideshow playlist which will be running on one of our televisions during the day. I like this kind of a project - it's creative, it pushes me to learn new things, and it's fun too!
Thank you Patrons, for all you do for our family financially. Thank you friends, for your faithful prayer! Have a wonderful weekend!
