Perhaps one of the most common prayers the human race utters is, "Help me God!" This Psalm echoes that sentiment in the opening two verses:

1 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to you,
when my heart is faint.

The psalm continues by asking for safety, for refuge, for shelter against enemies, and promises in return to always praise God.

We can all relate. I'd love to go one step further, and offer my faithful worship even if God does not provide shelter to me in the way that I'd prefer!

Sometimes that's easier said than done!
