My God, The Rock of My Salvation (Psalm 89:20-37) (5:10)
Album: Love the Psalms, Volume 6

Lyrics

I've found my servant David;
With holy oil anointed him;
My hand always be with him;
My arm shall strengthen him.

The enemy can't outwit him,
The wicked shall not humble him.
I'll crush his foes before him,
And strike down those who hate him.
My faithfulness beside him,
And steadfast love be with him,
And in my name his horn shall be exalted.

I will set his hand on the sea,
His right hand on the rivers.
He shall cry to me, “You are my Father,
“My God, the Rock of salvation!”

I will make him the firstborn,
The highest of the kings of earth.
Forever steadfast love for him,
My covenant stands firm.

I'll establish his line forever,
His throne as long as the heavens.
Though his children break my precepts
And do not keep my commandments,
Then I will punish their transgression
Their iniquity with lashes;
but I will not remove him from my love.

I will set his hand on the sea,
His right hand on the rivers.
He shall cry to me, “You are my Father,
“My God, the Rock of salvation!”

I will not violate my covenant,
Or change the word that left my lips.
Once and for all I have sworn by my holiness;
I will not lie to David.

And his line shall endure for ever,
His throne continue like the sun.
Shall be established like the moon,
Faithful witness to the skies.”

Selah

I will set his hand on the sea,
His right hand on the rivers.
He shall cry to me, “You are my Father,
“My God, the Rock of salvation!”

I will set his hand on the sea,
His right hand on the rivers.
He shall cry to me, “You are my Father,
“My God, the Rock of salvation!”
