Posting Pause
I’ve been on pause it seems for a while now. I haven’t really done any posting to my blog, and am coasting through each day on ‘dull.’
It must have something to do with losing the baby, but maybe it’s just a writer’s block. Anyway…
I have been working like a little beaver lately and my favourite new thing is a database of almost 5000 songs which are the top 100 songs of each year between 1960 and 2002. I’ve rigged it up so that it’s connected with my MIDI search engine, so with a few clicks you can search and download the sheet music for every song by Phil Collins, or any song with ‘Faith’ in the name, or whatever. Cool eh?
Try searching for sheet music now

To Laugh is Good
Thanks, honey, for locking yourself outside. I had such a good laugh last night - and it felt good to laugh, right from the belly. I haven’t done that for what seems like a long time. We all do silly things, but yours was very well timed.
Your loving wife,
Joanne

LIfe has Been Wild Lately
Two days ago I admitted Joanne to Emergency because she was losing so much blood. She received a blood transfusion, and spent the night in the hospital. She’s home now, but still not doing well.
We appreciate your prayers.

Locked Myself Outside
OK, I feel dumb. ![]()
I just locked myself outside! I went out to take a picture of SNOW IN APRIL and when I got back to the door, it was LOCKED! Joanne wasn’t due home with the garage door opener or key until 8:45!
At first it wasn’t so bad. I took some pictures of the cozy living room from outside, and an expression of my best humiliation. But as the hour wore on, my feet started freezing.
Part of the problem was that I was in a hurry, so instead of putting my shoes on, I just stuck my toes into a pair of Joanne’s loafers. I wasn’t about to go the neighbours to stay warm with ladies shooes on!
I needn’t tell you I was thrilled when Joanne drove up. Now I’m toasty again after a long hot shower!

Depressing Lately
I’ve been a little depressed lately.
For one thing, Joanne had a miscarriage… but it’s not ending there. It seems there’s a remote chance that the baby is still in there, and no one is giving us a definite answer yet.
For another thing, it’s April here— we’re supposed to be seeing spring, walking in the sunshine, enjoying the end of a very harsh winter. But no. Instead we’ve had three blizzards in the last four days. A week ago I was walking outside without a coat, all the snow was melted. Today there is four or five of snow piled outside my door where I’ve been shovelling off my walk!
I need a break.

Kalabarian Blah
I don’t get it! I typed in names for all my entire family and none of them were even remotely correct. Oh well….glad you got something out of it!

Jason, Just read about you and your wife losing your baby. I’m so very sad for you. I mourn with you at this loss. I’m so glad you guys know Jesus Christ cause He’s the only one that can comfort this kind of grief. I will say a prayer for you tonight.

Kabalarian’s Demasked
I found an interesting site which describes what Kabalarians are. It’s funny, I suspected there was something religious about them, though this is not evident from reading their site in a cursory way— other than one phrase that states something about numbers being spiritual. Here is what one researcher had to say.

Kabalarian Philosophy
Have you ever heard of Kabalarian Philosophy? It sounds like some weird sect or strange religion, and I don’t know exactly what it is, but I found a great site today called Kabalarians.com that describes your personality based ON YOUR NAME!
Usually this type of thing I greet with skepticism, but these summaries are uncanny in their acuracy! I looked up a few names, including my own, and Joanne’s, Luke’s, and Seth’s. This is really quite amazing.
Check it out!

Couldn’t Say it Better
I recently discovered this guy— someone who calls himself the Internet Monk. He has some awesome things to say. Today I found this article that I wanted to share with you.
