Silent No More
Between 1989 and 2006, I wrote a lot of music, but didn't release any personal recordings. Some of my music was released on albums which my church sponsored (see the Seek album for these songs), but I was pretty much quiet on the music front.
Part of this was because I hadn't quite settled on what I wanted my music to sound like. My heart produced soft ballads, but my head wanted to be a rock star
From out of the mess arose a distinct Romantic Piano Rock feel, and many of these songs are from that time.
Just Do It
There never seemed to be enough time to record these songs to my own level of satisfaction, but a friend who also writes and records told me a story about people wanting to hear music that sounds the way he plays live; stripped down, raw, bare.
So I decided to do the same. I bought a new electric piano, got out a microphone, and put together 12 romantic songs from my past, along with two new ones (Until the Train Comes and It's Over Now were written for this CD).
